Webcam Problems..., Quite a lot of them

I have some serious troubles with my webcam, it's a logitech quickcam 5000.
When you look at my uploads in the REC programm you see that audio and video are not in sync. I tried everything from reading manuals to upgrading the software to get rid of it and I think it got at least a bit better...

Now I have another problem: After a random amount of recording time the video just freezes and only audio is recorded. If I upload such a take with an only audio ending and frozen motion the part after the video freeze gets cut off.



Look at this video. It is 36 seconds long on my Computer and the motion freezes at 0.29 but it has recorded the audio till the end. The uploaded video cuts of at the moment when the video freezes and therefore cuts away the audio ending of the lesson...

Does anybody know whats going on here? Why does the video freeze and why does Youtube cut of the all-audio ending?

YouTube converts your video file to an .flv format. I guess the routine cuts off as there is no video information anymore after 0:29.

I'm afraid i can not really help with your freezing problem. Do you have a way to observe your CPU while recording? .. how much free disk space you have? Hm .. but as you are a gear geek, i suppose you checked that already smile.gif

I think it might be your computer fault that this happens...... I had this problem a while ago where all my videos were out of sync but i tried to uninstall some programs and remove stuff i dident need and now it works much better.

Probably the PC fault mate, it could be anything - webcam drivers, fragmented drive, video capturing app. I would experiment a bit with these options trying to localize the issue somehow mate. I hope you fix it soon mate.

Perhaps you should try to delete all video codecs on your system and install one codec pack.
I can recommend the K-Lite Codec Pack
