Ok, so all my effect pedals play alot louder in clean, than crunch and lead mode.

Does this have anything to do with my valves or something? I actually bought brand new preamp valves after I got the amp. I play through headphones, ergo using my 'emulated output'. Thus only my preamp valves are in use.

Is this a common problem?

You can go see an amp tech, maybe there is an issue with the loop. If it is working my guess it is nothing serious.

Also the "effect mix" pot barely makes a diff. must be something wrong.
