I think Robert Marcello is better, ive been listening to his stuff for a little while and i think he just has a better sense of melody, technique, and feel. Malmsteen starts to sounds mechanical after a few listens, like he just has a book on hand that says "Sh** youve done before but havent quite played like this, so you can pass it off as another song"

Thats just my oppinnion, though, i dont mean to offend anyone.

I guess Im too old for you all...cuz frankly, I dont think I even care for shredding unless its used minimally as a transition, rather than totally in a solo. Dont get me wrong, I think these guys you all are putting on a pedalstal are great in their own right as guitar masters, I just like the more clear note solos with feeling (e.g. Gilmore...you can almost hear his solos speaking, not jibber jabbering)

Or even Santana, or G. Rossington with his slide. I tried to listen to the others that you all like, and its just too much for me to enjoy. For me, it just doesnt have any heart or soul, no feeling at all...it just is.
But, it all brings to mind now when I was younger, my mom would stomp on the kitchen floor yelling for me to turn it down or turn it off when I was jamming out in the basement to Hey Joe, or Strutter, or Cant Get Enough Of Your Love...so I reckon its all about preferences.
