Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Slash Complete Style VI: Ballad Solo by Lucio Antolini

My first REC! I actually did this some time ago when the lesson first came out. There is one bad note where I bend a fully instead of a half step but the rest should be good. Looking forward to your feedback! Oh, yeah...the solo doesn't start until half way through.

Nice take! A couple of bends are out of tune, the one you mentionned and one at 1.18. Nothing serious though!
To improve you overall playing, pay attention to your left hand vibrato : maybe could you dedicate some time to it.
Nice take & playin' !

Wow, I was really blown away by the feel in your playing. You really put heart and soul into those bends, so much so that I can't give anything less than a 10 !

Some time spent working on vibrato and bending will definitely raise your game, as Stephane pointed out smile.gif

Good take!
I think it needs a little more work, timing was a little off in some parts and your bends weren't accurate enough
Nothing major but it will sound so much better if you put more time into this lesson!

As the other instructors said, your playing is good on this one. You just have to improve your bending technique since many of the bends don't reach the correct pitch. Also your vibrato could be stronger as Alex said... if you improve this things you'll get a perfect take. Keep on working hard! smile.gif

This is good shot ! Several uncontrolled bendings and to this technique you should devote more attention, but otherwise all is very well ,keep practicing!!
