There are so many guitars, if you tell us what sort of looks/pickups/tone you prefer (or seen somewhere that you like) we can discuss it and give you some cool options.

Since you own a humbucker equipped vintage-style guitar, you might want something completely different with at least one single coil and possibly a solid tremolo to begin with, nothin fancy for the budget, here are some recommendations:

I would recommend a mexican made stratocaster if you can fit it in the budget!

If you want single coil I agree a mex strat is a great choice. If you prefer humbuckers, go with the Ibanez mentioned

I can also recommend Mex Strat, but that depends of the tremolo. I chose this LTD because it has FR installed already. But if you need basic tremolo function (just to vibrate lightly the notes, and chords) then strat tremolo system will work. You can always upgrade it later to wilkinson for better performance.
