This bothers me because I would like to make backing tracks for myself without running a jack from my headphone jack to the line in and recording it. Does anyone's work? Make sure you have the proper sound card and make sure you don't accidentally have mute on your volume controls. Just double click on the image of the control panel on the window that pops up after you select WAVE... and it will bring up all of the controls for recording.
