Hey Muris, its me again. I have a question. A lot of your lessons you use wide stretches for legato runs and tapping. I was wondering what exercises you used to strech out your fingers. I have pretty long fingers, but I dont seem to have much of a stretch ability.

well i know im not muris but something i did was you take 5 frets pretty much anywhere on the fretboard depending on your current level of atretch ability and ok its weird to explain
fingers always coming in the same order pointer, middle, ring, pinky
you do the frets
1,2,3, and stretch to the 5th with your pinky
1,2,stretch to the 4th with your ring finger,5th with pinky
1, stretch to the 3rd with your middle, 4th, 5th
and youre never allowed to lift your fingers like your pointer has to stay on the 1st fret, so on. so you work until you can do it on the first 5 frets.
if my camera battery charges il video it so i can show you what i mean lol

I do lots of stretches??
Haven't noticed indeed,at least I don't count playing 2 whole steps as a stretch smile.gif
Anyhow,I'll make a lesson that includes lots of it since I can't recall what I used to practice for it,
I just played and practiced random stuff, believe me. smile.gif

Would you say this is the best way to go about things? Just by practicing anything and everything that interests you while not worrying about practicing certain things like stretching, since the way i see it, if the guitar is like anything else on this planet given time the body finds its way of adjusting to use it to its fullest.

Well I'm not sure if that's the best way for everyone,
it's just what I used to do,random stuff, including stretches as well.
If you practice enough and practice hard you'll notice that you're covering all topics nicely,
legato,picking,tapping,stretches too. smile.gif
