So been learning the basic 5 string maj and minor sweep shapes and dont have too much trouble handling sweeps that dont require barring. The only difficult sweep shapes are those that require me to bar with my ring finger or have more than one bar going on. Any tips on getting these sweeps with bars down?

I'll try to get up a video later but basically when I try to bar with my ring finger I cant get all the notes to sound out. Probably just a strenght issue in that finger since I can bar fine with my index.

Try to use the rolling technique. All you have to do is to "roll" the finger across strings by bending it backwards. Your barring finger must become slightly arched.
