Hi David,
Here's my take. Again, I tried to work on a theme. It was more difficult because I'm less comfortable with this scale (in fact, it's the first time I've ever really experimented with it - I like it). I really like the middle section and I struggled with the beginning and end a bit. It's a bunch of licks I like, but I'm not sure if they're congruent enough. I know your schedule may not allow for it, but if you have some advice that I might be able to apply before the deadline I'd really appreciated it. Thanks again! here are my takes
i used my new digitech rp500 through USB to record this one...let me know how the sound is...its hard to find the right recording sound because what i hear through the power amp of my amplifier is different than USB so it was a challenge finding the right recording sound

Here's my take David. I'll tell you man, this wasn't easy for my playing over this and trying to just focus on C Lydian. My mind wanted to wonder so this was a good learning experience for me. I hope it captured some of the Lydian vibe.
Thanks, Skillet Dave_C_Lydian_WBT.mp3 ( 1.48MB ) Number of downloads: 223 This post has been edited by UncleSkillet: Oct 26 2009, 04:34 AM -------------------- "Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
