Cubase 7?? Awesome! I'm still with Cubase 5 but I would really like to know your opinion once you get the 7th.
I'm not sure about the improvements, but the overall look is amazing! -------------------- My lessons

Thanx for the notice! I'll be carefull I've ordered 7 and saw the 7,5 as a latest update. I hope an issue You describe doesn't releate to verion 7.0 Nice to know we're both in the cubase family Gab To be honest I don't feel a necessary need of having 7 at the moment. I tried 5 and it has already everything I need. But...it think of future. I don't want to face a wall after few years of using. Even if it's a bit too much at the moment it will become old anyway...after some time and I don't want to stuck at the point where I'll not be able to do some basic things as simple as newer softwere makes it able to be. 5 is way cool too but it's not even available anymore. To be honest I think manufacturers could keep all the previous versions available - some people just don't need all the fancy stuff form new once and if the price was resonable, than we would have a lot more legal users online for example - old as hell photoshop 6 is still something absolutely working for home photo editing...many people would buy it if they would make it available for some low price. I don't need full CD package. This would be surely great for different users but I suspect that they don't do it because of economical reasons. They prefer that everybody buys the new one, the more expensive. But I agree with you, they would sell even more using your idea. -------------------- My lessons

I wonder if some of you already tried C7? For my job, I use all the major DAWs every day, but I use C7 for my own projects. LogicProX has the drummer feature which is nice, but Cubase still has better drum track editing and better non-destructive audio editing and those features are important to me. If you're coming from an old version of cubase, probably the most valuable new feature for guitarists is takes, which was added in 6.5. -------------------- Cyber-industrial music and video animations:

Cubase has just put up version 7.5
I'm assuming you're asking about the takes feature changes in 6.5? It's a workflow improvement for Cubase that lets you auto clean lanes and create tracks from comp selections. So you can save a lot of time on editing. If you mean non destructive audio, lots of daws are NDA. Non destructive editing means that the original audio reamains untouched by edits until you finally render the audio at mixdown. You build an edit decision list that instructs the daw what regions/locations to play etc and where they're located on the hard drive. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer. Congrats Darius! I'm curious to know your first thoughts about it.
Here I found a pdf provided by Steinberg where they show the features comparison between the 3 Cubase 7 versions: Cubase 7, Cubase artist, Cubase elements 7. This can also be helpful to discover all the features. Cubase_Comparison_Chart.pdf ( 920.25K ) Number of downloads: 321 -------------------- My lessons
