GMC Forum _ Techniques (Muris) _ Rec Submission Question

Posted by: NoSkill May 27 2009, 05:07 PM

Hi Muris,

You mentioned that I was, "flat picking," and I wondered if you could expand on that. I think I don't understand pick angles and such and was hoping to have a discussion about this.

Thanks,

Tom

Ahh, we had misunderstanding!
With "flat" picking I meant same picking attack most of the time
and the you miss dynamics plus your tone doesn't change a lot.
Apply more power in picking on some notes,
I mean hit it REALLY hard to get that note singing and screaming! smile.gif

Oh, super. Thank you. I just wanted to be clear. I think, sometimes, I'm just happy that I hit the note and think about dynamics after it's too late. I will continue to practice that.

Thanks,

Tom
