Hi again. This lesson is quite a challenge with all the subtle rhythm accents that Stephane uses.

For the first half of the lesson, the rhythm section, your timing needs the most attention here. You tend to rush slightly ahead of the beat and cut off some of the notes too quickly. Just lay back a bit here and get into the groove.

During the lead section you struggle to articulate the licks with ease. They're a bit quick so in some cases you're struggling to keep up. As a result it's tough for you to give relaxed bending and vibrato as you're constantly on the edge of trying to keep up.

Try to work on any phrases that use sliding as a feature as well. Lots of sliding will test your finger strength and help you build up callouses as well!

This is a very cool lesson to improve your expression techniques. Ben marked the basic stuff that you need to work in order to make this one sound better. You need to be careful with bending when soloing (00:42, 00:57) because you tend to reach a wrong pitch, and you have to dedicate time to polish the solo section.

Once you feel more comfortable with those elements, you could also pay attention to improve your groove and dynamics on this one. This kind of funky stuff require a good use of this too element because it's based on them. Dynamics are related to the use of different pick intensities to make your rhythm and soloing more expressive. Groove is based on the rhythm feel that you give to you playing to make it connect better with the style and backing.

Hey there! From what I hear what you need to work on is precision and contrast between soft and heavy picking. Stephane is a master of ultra smoothm picking. He usually picks quite soft leaving a lot of headroom for hard strokes to not only sound louder but also bring the bite only at the moments it is truly wanted. In my opinion you did quite well with this lesson but you came to the point where the real job starts. Try to decrease your picking strength for most of the lesson. Catch the moments where Stephane exposes accents - notes that will sound definitely sharper and louder then the rest. About the precision I'm sure you can detect the spots where you somehow missed or lost the sync on particular notes. Those should be fixed as well
