Let's list some of the most disappointing / worst albums that we have heard or own.

It's not just albums by people you don't like, that would be too easy and way too numerous. Instead, let's try to keep it to bands that we actually listen to, or were interested in enough to buy their stuff...

I'll try and get a few in first..

Judas Priest - Point of Entry I am a Priest fan but I'll always maintain that this record is a pile of cack. I'm still not sure if I've even ever made it through every song without skipping ahead. It was that frustratingly boring.

Darkthrone - Under a Funeral Moon the 1st and last Darkthrone album I ever bought. I have enjoyed some of their later stuff though.

Venom - the first 3 albums I think I liked the album art more than the music.

Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon, Something Wicked part 1 a waste of Schaffer and Owen's abilities and a concept story I defy anyone to be interested in.

Opeth - Heritage I was excited at the prospect of an Opeth album with all clean vox so the reason I don't like the album is not due to the musical changes but due to the fact that it is insufferably dull. I admire them for evolving because that's what a band should do. I just didn't enjoy it, that's all.

There are probably loads more but those are the few that leap out as 'regret' purchases ! How about you guys ?

There is nothing good on that album and it will go down in text books on how not to mic and mix a drum kit. The worse sounding kit ever. I've heard pots and pans better.

Chinese Democracy - huh.gif did not like.

I also thought 'use your illusion 1 & 2' would have been much better as a single album.

the black album was pushing commercialism , but still very enjoyable. nothing since then that I like from them

yes! CD was just an awful album, especially for the wait.
and as for UYI - i know it wasn't meant to be, but i consider it to be a double album, a la The White Album

- Black Gives Way to Blue? i love AIC but i just could not get into that album. and i tried. i really wanted to like it. i just couldn't.
- Illud Divinum Insanus? i was so hoping for David Vincent to reunite with Morbid Angel. then he did. then this happened. the hell, dave?
- SEVENTH VOID - Heaven Is Gone? this is my fault really. i'm sure its a great band, but i was expecting them to pick up where TON left off. i've disappointed myself with this one

I would have dropped enough material from 1 & 2 to make it a decent single album.

unfortunately this was the case with me as well.
I dont mind 'Your Decision' too much but other than that track, I dont think I played the album since first getting it.

Counting Crows - This Desert life

I loved the first two albums, and this album was produced by David Lowry of Cracker another favourite band of mine, and I had big big expectations. I just couldnt and havent got into it at all. I may have to revisit it after avoiding it for 15 years

Some different genres and bands from the past:

I got Dios albums Magica and Killing the dragon. I really liked Magica, Killing the dragon is ok, but nowhere near Magica.

Red hot chili peppers: I really don't like the albums after Californication, they are boring and repetitive to me (I don't own any of them).

Radiohead: OK computer is not the best album, but it has some ok songs. Everything after this is dissapointing to me.
