I have no idea to be honest. Some of the musicians I have seen around here would probably have no trouble working with a newer style than what they are accustomed to.

I think that's why I'd choose Americana, it's a vague enough genre to let you get a little heavy at times, a little more country at others, a little folky, or a little bluesy, or just plain rock n roll
