With vibrato, you still need to increase up & down motion. Left & right motion isn't enough to produce good vibrato with electric guitar strings, it's a bit shallow (although it can sound nice and controlled). Try increasing the bending of the string, and mix that up with the left & right motion you pursuit. It can be better then. I think you missed out this important component, so I'm going to be strict and give you a 7. I think it would be very beneficial to redo this one, so you really get the most of this type of vibrato. I should probably mention to Ivan that this lesson is deliberately focusing on classical 'side to side' vibrato so Llion is following the lesson accuractely. I do encourage a mixture of up/down and side to side in the circular vibrato lesson but for this one it's strictly side to side. Funnily enough, of all the vibrato videos I've made, I haven't done one for the most basic 'up,down' vibrato but I'm planning on doing one Your timing and phrasing was good and followed my lead to the letter, using the same fingers which is what I wanted from people. To improve from there, I would even add extra idle fingers to the strings for more strength. You've got the basic technique right, the extra fingers will help you wring ore juice out of those notes. The only thing is some of the earlier vibratos are a bit fast. Using the same technique you've developed, just slow them down a little bit. Not dramatically, but just a bit slower so they're not too rapid and nervous sounding. Good stuff, you're on the right track You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
