May be a bit lame to some of you guys but I love the guitar work and arrangement in this old 80's tune... Yeah, going back to my hair days... laugh.gif

Knockin on Heaven's door - Bob Dylan (as much of the song as possible)
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns n Roses (intro especially but any part would be good)
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin (intro and solo)
2 Minute to Midnight and Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden (Intro, Verse, Chorus riffs and solo)

Posted by: djohnneay Apr 26 2009, 01:49 PM

I think the Sweet Child O' Mine Intro (Guns 'n Roses) is a very good riff to learn right for beginners.

I think that riff should be banned from every guitar shop in the world, along with wonderwall and Stairway to heaven!

Just kidding, how about a transcription of the Eric Clapton solo in Crossroads? or Texas flood by Stevie, they would be worth learning!!

Posted by: Startear May 3 2009, 11:57 AM

I almost forgot
Iron Maiden: Infinite Dreams - as much as possible

Posted by: Joe Kataldo May 4 2009, 12:33 PM

I Agree biggrin.gif and don't forget smoke on the water riff, should be banned from music stores too ahahah
