Gus G Gear

Hi guys! I´ve been looking for a cool sound for my soloing and i cant seem to find anything of liking, so i figgured i might just listen to one of the guitarists i like and then find out what gear he uses for his soling! Does anyone here have any idea what kind of pedals and effects Gus G uses for his soling? Examples on songs are "The fire and the fury" and mostly any solo from the early Dream Evil. Any information provided will be greatly appreciated!

Reverb Pedals For... Metal?

Hey guys, i´ve been meaning to ask this for quite a while now, but especially lately sine i´ve started listening to a lot of guitar solos ( usually metal ) Alright, so i´ll cut to the chase. I really need a pedal or something to make my guitar soloing sound better. Im not sure what to use tho, since most of the effects ive tried have been ... to much? Maybe a reverb pelad could give me that epic guitar soloing sound? Any advice on this will be much helpfull and very much appreciated!

Low Tuned Strings

Hey guys, i´ve recently been listening to alot of metal music, like for an example "Scar symmetry" and "Meshuggah" and so on. I would really like to play some music in their tunings but im not sure what strings i should use for that. Im pretty sure the strings im using are way to thin to play that low but to be honest i really dont know much about that stuff. Any feedback is appreciated!

Power Metal Hymns

Hey its me Christoffer, i have mostly been practising lessons and i have not had much time to chat or do stuff like that lately but i have an eargent need of some advice.... Im currently playing in a band and im having the hardest time coming up with cool powermetal Hymns or melodies and so on... I try to sing stuff in my head and play it on the guitar but its not working out quite well and i was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice on what scales i should play, or maybe some backingtracks to listen to as i play. I have no idea what im supposed to do to come up with these things, for an example the opening hymn to the song "Frozen Sky" by "Conquest" is a really awesome melody or hymn or what you´d call it but it feels like´i´ll never be able to come up with anything like that.
