If you plan on making it as a guitarist - there is no way you won't eventually end up in a video somewhere.
Now if you are extremely lucky (for lack of a better word) you might get a full production team doing the video for you. If not...you will have to do like the rest of us - record by yourself. You need to learn a bit about video recording and editing (just like you need to learn A LOT about audio) - to increase your odds. We have spoken before about the importance of understanding the advertising/business part of the music business to make it as a guitarist (or rather to increase your odds, once again). The way I see it you need to get this chain down: learn to play - learn music - learn to record audio - learn to record video - advertise yourself On top of this, if you have got brains and a computer + Internet connection, nothing can stop you. NOW GET WORKING! |

Nice!, video is becoming very important lately at GMC with competitions, uploads & REC. Much needed board!

The future is in video and internet no doubt. The sooner we adjust the better. Great to see GMC taking important steps to help all members of its community!

This is so true! Musicians always end up doing A LOT more then just playing music. And video recording is always a must!
