I have a little problem. I have many guitars and starting tomorrow I am getting live guitar lessons (which I am really excited about) but I have fallen in love with the Mandolin! Should I get a Mandolin and branch off into more musical areas or get my Jackson?

If you love the sound of the mandolin, play some mandolin. You will become a more interesting musician with experience in more than just normal common guitar playing. If you don't return to guitar, you will be doing what you love. Win-win situation.

Go for the Jackson first, then get a Mando a bit later. The more you learn on Guitar the easier the Mando will become, especially Chords/Scales etc!

I play some things on mandolina, if you like folk metal, it´s a pretty good tool to make your music more cool!
I suggest you to get mandolina!!!
but, that´s what I would do... smile.gif

It all depends on the desire that you have to play the Mandolin.
If you think it's something that it's not just a crush on the instrument but a thing that will last I'd say go for it, but if you think that after a month you're going to leave it in the closet...well it's the other option, get the Jackson.
