Hi Gabriel
How are you?
I noticed that you use a lot the second finger to mute the low e while playing A shaped power chords. It is something I would like to do, but I can not achieve yet. Apart for trying and trying do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Carmine

Hi mate. Yes, I use that finger and I don't do it very consciously. You should know that I also use my finger 1 to mute the closer lower string when I play chords, and I could say when I play even melodies and solos. Finger 2 wouldn't be 100% necessary but it helps to be sure that you
won't have an extra noise from the lower string. Regarding how to do it, I think that you can practice the shape with the finger added every day, until you feel it comfortable and something normal. At first it can be unnatural but then it will became something that you even can forget that you do it. (that's what happens to me).

I'm not sure exactly which is the thing that makes it difficult but feel free to post a pic or video trying to do it.
