Hi guys. Had some time to spend on Boylston Street. Went into the First Act store and walked out with a FA Delia for 80 $. Now you might say: never buy a guitar that cheap. (list price is 99 biggrin.gif ). Anyway that thing is great. The week later they had the better version of the same guitar for $120 (list price 700). I bought that too smile.gif

And I am so happy with these cheap crappy guitars that I made a sound clip for you. Forgive me the crappy playing. I did that at my workspace at night when nobody was there biggrin.gif
Had my audio interface here because I wanted to record with a friend later the night. Didn't happen (had to work longer) so I just recorded some funky stuff. The drums are samples. The rest is Delia straight into Lexicon Omega. DAW is Sonar 7. Revalver MKII was used for the guitar sound.

BTW the recording was done with the cheaper one

Delia 530

Attached Image Here a pick (sorry the reflections are from my lamps)

Dressed up and ready to go out–elegant double cutaway chambered semi-hollow basswood body for crystal clear tones, designed in First Act's Studio for Artists. Top binding. Two Alnico V magnet vintage-style humbucking pickups with crisp, clean sound and warm distortion. North American Maple bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Chrome diecast tuning machines for accurate tuning. Available in solid metallic black, powder blue, and velvet red. (First Act catalogue)

540 has a nicer top and a set neck

Just for your information. First Act has great Premium Guitars (all about 1500-2000$) that rival their brand name piers. The highend Delia is absolutly stunning.

If you get to Boston go to the store they reduced all their guitars in price to about 50%. You get the premium guitars starting at 700$ right now. In Addition they build great custom instruments.

Nice!! Don't ever think you NEED an expensive guitar to sound good! I saw a clip of John 5 playing a stock Squier Telecaster and he was CRANKING on the thing!!!

check the homepage the 540 is discontinued (the one I got for 120 instead of 700) the 530 is availiable online. The highend one is also online.

The highend one is a great buy for the 1399$ they want right now. They started at 2500$ or so. But since they are not known for highend guitars I guess they had a hard time selling it. If I had the money I would get it right away. Great guitar.Better than all the 335's I played recently
