Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey man, could you create a poll and list your equipment used for this one? Once you have done so, I will move it over for grading, thanks. smile.gif

Very good take. All the notes were correct, but there are 2 things you need to work more - vibrato and timing. Vibrato needs to be from the wrist, up and down, not left and right like on nylon string guitars. Second, timing is not that great here, you should check the original for timing, and timing is very important in blues. Some liberty is allowed of course, but in this case, some notes are so off they sound wrong. Try to match them with the drum and it will be OK. It is still a good and clean take, so I will give an 8.

As Ivan mentinoned, some work on vibrato and timing is needed. Another things for me is the bends : some of them are slightly out of tune.
Great take anyway !

I agree with Ivan and Stephane, your vibrato should be stronger and your bends more precise, sometimes you don't reach the note that you are aiming at. Also the timing could be a bit better.
