Hey Pedja,

I've been going around thinking: "I would like to start transcribing some stuff by ear" in the last couple of days. Not metal or rock stuff, but more like sax/jazzy stuff. Do you have any suggestions as to where to start on such a journey?

Just listened to Blue in Green by Miles Davis on Youtube. Would that be a good place to start? It didn't seem THAT difficult.

Blue in Green is a good starting point. Start with some slower tempos and gradually build things up. I also recommend getting software "Transcriber" or "Amazing slow downer". It will help you slow down really fast sections to transcribe them.
