Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi! My take on Sepultura style by Liam Gerbino. Gear used: deluxe telecaster, damage control demonizer (for scooping the tone), sans amp gt2 for dirt. Original lesson:

Sepultura style - Liam Gerbino

Hi again !
It's nice to see that your so active in REC grading program. smile.gif

I have a few things I feel that I have to mention about your take.

1. Sound:

If you scoop your sound that much and add this amount if distortion, it may destroy the articulation ( the listener won't understand properly what you play )
So my advice to you is to add a little more middle and a little less distortion to your sound in order to reach clarity.

2. Timing:

You had some minor timing issues at 0:38-0:43 at the bending part, and sort of 'missed' the incoming riff. (It was really NOT a big mistake)

The rest was GOOD smile.gif

I'm waiting for your upcoming takes . . .

Take care!
