Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

think i may have to do this over without to mics, on the solo i think there may still be that phase issue, looked fine whe ni zoomed into the timeline, but after a few listen after i posted just doesnt sound right seems more noticeable on the solo. think im gonna drop the second mic for the rec and hold onto it for vocals

Hey man! This one sounds tighter than the previous indeed! What I can observe would be that you were slightly out of timing around 0:11 and there is some sort of a tuning issue which can be observed at about 0:23 for instance. Once the drums kick in, your groove stabilizes and you are on the cruise feeling which is ok, but you should be able to get into that state right from the very beginning. That bend at 0:39 could be more precise, while the solo seems to have more flow, but it can still be better.

I think that more time spent on this one and focus to those tiny details will make you able to score a ten on this one!

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

Hey rocker!! Cool take! To summarize what Cosmin said, you have to work on bending and timing. The first riff legato that is repeated all the time is not tight, it's a bit faster. Compare it with my take and you will notice what I mean. Work on these two things and you will have a perfect take! wink.gif

Guys pointed the spots to be fixed in Your playing so I'll just go back to the tone issue. Could You post the print screen of very close zoom that You see and use to judge if the phase is ok? This one sound much better. I wonder about the "chorus effect" is this really a phaser between two tracks or a phase / time difference between solo recorded to DAW and solo recorded with cam mic...though...You don't use the cam audio in the rendered file. I will once again ask You to send me raw track from both mics to do some experiments and help You to find the reason of this problem
