> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey man! This is generally a good ensemble - you got the groove!

Now, there are spots where you could punch in a little more definition - such as the 2 little 16th notes found in the riff at the beginning (good example around 0:15) at the end of each 2 bars.

Think definition in general for this take and it's gonna be a pristine 10! biggrin.gif

Hi mate! Cosmin is right about this take. There are some technique an timing details to improve to make this take sound perfect. The main issues appear in the first riff and in the last arpeggios. Work on this sections and you will have a flawless take soon.

Very good take Dave! Only some details to work on smile.gif I would like to add some advice about Your picking hand. 0:33 to about 0:45 it feels like Your picking is not regular - You do some breaks/ rest moment for the hand that changes the picking direction for some of the notes. Look at Gabriels lesson - he does regular down/up movements with no pause, and just accents the imjportant notes. I might be wrong - this could be only unwanted video delay/blur or something like this but...if not...then trying to make it regular usually helps the timming and playing stability. Maybe try to watch closer at those moments. Cheers! smile.gif
