Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate! This is a very demanding lesson, and there are some things that you should have in mind and continue practicing it. Let me list them here:

1. Your tone is too clean, compared to the original lesson and this makes more difficult to make the lesson sound good. Try to get a more similar tone, with more drive.
2. The first section, the pedal note neoclassical section is played with palm muting. I'm not sure if you are doing it, but as you don't have enough drive, you are not getting the same effect. If you are not using PM, add it.
3. There are some insecure notes sounding at 00:16.
4. The legato passage at 00:23 needs more practice to sound tighter and clearer.
5. All the section from 00:24 to 0046 is not sounding very good, but the tone isn't helping so I think that if you add drive I will more able to give you feedback about it. But review the notes that you are picking, the palm muting when it's added and the legato sound.
6. Finally work more on the last sweeps.

That's all. Pay attention to these things and please share a new take!

Hello there man!

I think Gabe pointed out every last detail, so I won't double up his ideas. All I can say is that details are important regardless of what sort of style you are practicing, so take the time to sort each note, rest, bend and so on, out smile.gif You will definitely not regret it later on!

Like guys above said. This one is not an easy one. It's very good that You've decided to face it smile.gif You did some basis from it but still much work to be done. Good point about the tone - use some distortion - it will compress the tone and maybe will make it more "visible" comparing to the backing track. There are some moments hard to judge because we cannot hear the guitar clear enough. But...once again...this one is hard and You already did some great job smile.gif
