Appropriate Scale?

Toroso,progression you gave to Ivan is not actually the progression, those power chords can be found is few other keys, Bm is certainly first guess as Ivan said. Oct 22 2008, 10:14 PM	Instructor Posts: 25.396 Joined: 20-November 07 From: Belgrade, Serbia	Muris is right, there are several keys that can fit those powerchords in it, because those powerchords aren't actually chords, just fifth intervals, so they are showing up in several keys. but in order to keep things simple, I chose B minor/D major key. But the nature of power chords, not actually being chords like Ivan said, means that they are neither minor nor major. They lack the third, which is the essential interval that decides if a chord is major or minor. But because they lack the third, they can go along with EITHER major OR minor chords. IMHO Thanks all, Ivan, Muris, JVM EDIT: OK, I took your words and did a little research. Using the tab for the intro/main riff I find that it contains: B,D,G,F#,A,C#,E.
