all right, heres whats goin on.
i have played bass for a year, and have always wanted to played lead guitar, but i always thought it would be way too hard. i decided i was up for the challenge a few days ago and went out and bought an electric ibanez =]. i discovered this site and became a member, but there is so much stuff here! i already know most of the stuff in the beginner section, and i really need some lessons that will get me used to using a pick and getting used to playing the high notes on a guitar, instead of the low grooves im used to on bass. i love rock and metal, and i'd really like some easy/intermediate lessons that could get me started in that to.

any suggestions??

Hey Manny!

Before going to my Alternate Picking lessons be sure to first check Kris's Alternate Picking lessons as they teach you basics of playing 3 note-per-string scales and runs. After you are comfortable with those lessons you can move onto my AP lessons as they are more difficult.

Check out Rock Rhythm And Solo series. You can find both some rock rhythm parts there which will be something you can already play and combination of leads. That will make it more interesting to learn leads as there will always be a part of it you can play!

Have fun and practice hard!
