Speakers?, i dnt even know which company make good ones

hi peoples, im gonna get some new speakers for my computer so i can listen to me whilst i record onto the computer rather than use headphones coz they hurt my ears and makes me feel like having a nose bleed after halfen hour for some weird reason :S anyway i dont know where to start, which company make good speakers? i am thinking less than £100 but two of them so i can have stereo, so basically two monitor speakers that are good, but the thing is i have no knowledge of speakers so i neeed some advices smile.gif
