Hi Phil! Great to find this one at REC.

As we've been working on this one for a while, you already know my thoughts about the things that need attention. By the way I'll summarise it here because I think that this video will be a good reference to notice the next improvements.

There are specific parts that need to be polished, and that I suggest isolating and practising as loops:

- The ascending pattern (00:06). I would practice this one and combine it with some alternate picking chromatic exercises. The classic 123, 1234 ones would help.

- The chords change (00:13). These are not clean enough.

- Licks at 00:41 and 00:50.

- There are also some timing issues here and there.

I have to say that your performance on the lesson isnot bad at all. I think that this is really close, and that one of the trickier parts (the double string licks in the end) is sounding really good. I know that you've worked hard on it and it's showing awesome results.

The problem is that one of the elements that is giving problems appears lots of times (the ascending pattern), and this distracts from all the well played parts (which are more) in the lesson.

That's why I think that it's essential to do an intensive work on that pattern in order to master this lesson.

I think you have chosen an excellent lesson to match - but still boost - your ability.

I do think you are still not in total control of the lesson - and we can tell you are not really focusing on the groove but rather on avoiding mistakes. And as pointed out by Gab there are several mistakes we can clearly hear.

There are some spots, like the part around 00:54, where I could enjoy the groove & music though.

Keep up the good work, you get a 5 from me

I agree with Kris on a great lesson choice for your level. It's not too hard, yet has enough things you could spend some time on polishing out.

First thing is picking direction assignment - verify some part with original lesson. somehow I feel like it's a little random in your case and it should be consistent, otherwise it causes hand sync issues. Make sure about picking direction on every note and make sure you always do it the same way. This way you can work things out

I like you tone choice. It really fits the lesson.

Timming is not perfect - it's most visible in the second half

You also tend to loose last notes from a few runs - you focus on position shift too early adn you release the finger. It's not only the moment we hit but the time note should last that's important.

If we measure your take to a studio quality playing, there are things to fix for sure, but....in general your take is pleasant to listen and there are no critial things that would affect that pleasure of listening
