Funky/disco Rhythm Guitar |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This lesson I had to do for MTP, and it was good fun, so thanks Adrian!
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Funky-...-Rhythm-Guitar/ Gear:Ibanez SA08 with Pod Farm I know I didn't play the main riff exactly as I should have, kinda stupid mistake, but I had no time to make a new take (it's very time consuming with a photo camera which isn't yours... long story ) This post has been edited by skennington: Jun 18 2010, 02:01 AM |

The tone is amazing! nailed!
the notes are all there, chords sounds clear, the only thing is timing, keep on practicing with the backing track to really tighten it up as much as possible I think you are rushing a little bit, throughout the whole lesson -------------------- Visit my:

It is good, but when playing this funky rhythm, your strumming hand should play it very tight, like you strum one string instead of six, that fast. Keep it tight, and don't rush it, and you'll do fine.

Your (funky) tone was amazing! Great job on that. I agree with everyone above, you need to play a little behind (layed back) in relation to the backing track. Also with funk rhythm guitar, strumming has to be fast and precise (and snappy sounding).

Nice tone! Agreed with the above. You might want to relax a bit more, the borrowed cam might be the problem here, I know you can do it better
