So i im not quite satisfied with the tone on my Dsl 401 sometimes it get allittle muddy for solo... so i need to fix that..
ive come down to this sollution

a new metal muff
a tubescreamer or something to boost the amp
or a powerfull eq like the kfk signature

i want a tone where i hear every note when i play fast. because some of my older distortion pedal made the hold thing sound blurry, but then i tryed my teacher amp and it sounded wondefull, so its not my playing

any suggestion

ps. sorry for VERY bad english

What setup does your teacher have, how about getting something similar?

if you want to hear every not when you play fast you don;t have to set your dist or drive full range o'clock
i use a preamp tube and set the volume of the drive maximum 5 so it will be a clear drive

An EQ or a tube screamer would probably do the trick well.

The Marshall Guv'nor Plus would sound amazing with your amp, maybe even better than a tube screamer

Don't know... Guv'nor has that "too smooth" tone if you ask me...
