Hey guy! Just wanted to know which of the knobs of my Marshall AVT100X handles the valve predestortion and wich one the transistor endamplifying: there's a gain and a volume know for the channel and a master volume thx guys : ) Since you have tube in preamp section I would say that Gain knob handles tube reaction, it works like input knob. Volume ( for channel I guess ) can be related to both ( not sure 100% ) and Master is surely for transistor. Muris is right, gain knob is for preamp (with one 12ax7 tube) that controls the amount of overdrive. Both volume and master knobs are solid state poweramp sections, only wired separately cause you can have better control of channel loudness balance this way.
