Hi guys. One of my FB friends builds guitar and bass effects units under the name WARLORD. A few days ago, I received a two channel distortion pedal named after one of The Reckoning songs, Soul Breaker. The artwork was influenced by our T shirts and the two channels are called, appropriately, Havoc and Armageddon. I eventually got around to making a 'review' video for it ! smile.gif

Sounds nice! Maybe it's just me but always felt like Marshall amps are one of best working with external distortions smile.gif

Yes, they could be. I generally don't use any pedals these days as the amp has enough distortion. But a lot of people have used stomp boxes with Marshalls in the past to get their tones.. even Metallica smile.gif

So we're in the same team. I always stay addicted to amp's built-in distortion smile.gif

Ben , your mouth looks so huge in this review, like you're tempting to eat this poor distortion. laugh.gif

Well, i've watched this video and it kinda reminds me on Proco RAT distortion, soundwise.

I'm also thinking of getting a pedal for Volume Boost, and actually i've found some chineese made with true-bypass...

Spiff!!! Are you using any gain on the marshall or is all the distortion from the pedal? Also, any chance you'll make a review vid with the cabinet miced up? It sounds like the camera audio only in the vid which is fine for the voice but I'd really like to hear the cab with a mic right in front of it smile.gif

Cheers T-Master. No gain on the amp, just the clean channel. The pickup in the guitar is a little hot tho so it adds a little zing I'm sure wink.gif

I should have mic'd the cab really but I'm too lazy and the vid was unscripted.. I'm quite a rambler. I cut the vid from 26mins to just under 10 biggrin.gif

I agree with this. I had a JCM900 that combined with my visual sound Jekyll an Hide was killer. It never sounded like that with my Mesa Boogie.

Well congrats either way on your new spiff Pedal!! It sounds like a MONSTER! If you do get the chance, I'd love to hear it miced up and with you twisting the knobs and such just as a tone test or what not wink.gif

Hey B-man ! An awesome video and that intro was a kick ass !

Spoiler:
Is it new song of yours ? Can I have tabs ? Which brand is that guitar ? What gauge strings you use ? What shampoo you use..

LOLZ biggrin.gif
Kidding aside, See I told you it's better to shorten the video. But next time you should use a microphone for your voice because now it (voice) will get run over by guitar and also like Todd suggested mic the cab smile.gif

Oh and did I mention that the INTRO KICKED ASS !! cool.gif
