Some producers have a great deal of input in how a record is going to sound, others are more hands off but know how to get the best out of the artist.

Who are your favourites and who would you like to work with?

For me

Luke Gottswald (aka Dr Luke)

Ex Saturday Night Live guitarist.

I was listening to Avril Lavigne - Best Damn Thing this week and the writing and arrangements and production are great for poppy rock music. I think she's only given writing credits to try and boost credibility. I forgive him for Miley Cirus 'Party in the USA'

I'd love to hear what he could produce with a harder rock band.

Steve Evetts
Purely for producing Story Of The Year - In The Wake Of Determination, I love this album

For my softer more country/acoustic side

Buddy Miller
The man is a great writer, and guitarist and singer. He's a good sideman too. He knows what works for a song, what distracts from the song, he's got great tone and taste.

Has anyone heard about this dude? Jeffro Lacksheide is his name - he worked with Cheap Trick among others and he is currently doing a mix for one of our songs on the EP. He contacted us via internet and offered a free sample so that we may see if we want to work with him.

Guy Sigsworth is the first one to come to my mind. I met him last year at a convention here in Norway, and he did a live remix that was one of the coolest things I've ever heard smile.gif

Here's two of his newer works with SingerSen:

How awesome would that be? To work with Mike Varney himself. The man is a legend.

There's a few.
No 1 would be Kurt Ballou (who's the guitarist in Converge).
also Steve Albini or Billy Anderson.
