hey muris,
i need an advice.
i can play and count quarter notes, eight notes, 16th notes, triplets in a row, but i have problems when they are mixed with stops. for example i have to play this, beside the notes in the bracket() (1) e + a 2 e (+) a 3(e) + (a) (4) e + a

should i count on every click 1 e + a or on every click different for example "3 and" "4 e + a" ?

i hope you know what i mean smile.gif
i really need to spice up my rhythm playing

for example i have problems with your funk rhythm and your blues bending lesson to play and count in time.
i need help biggrin.gif

Both counting methods you mentioned here are fine, imo.
But main deal is actually to feel each note,4th,8th,16th,triplets...doesn't matter.
And after you get it right you'll be able to count it anyway you like...1 e+a,5 e+a,3 e+a or using only 1.
If you feel the bar you can count it in many ways, mean of beats inside.
As for everything else, hard practicing is need here as well.
Try to use simple models and then to combine them.
First simple,then more complex. smile.gif
