GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Gmc Lacks New Classical Guitar Lessons!

Posted by: Nighthawk1 Nov 17 2013, 12:46 PM

Hey there GMC,

I really love GMC but I do miss new classical guitar lessons such as those from Dejan Farkas or Gerardo Siere. They really did a great job but they don't seem to be around anymore. I understand that Electric Guitar styles have a broader fan base but some new lessons covering the warm and wonderful nylon guitar sound would be nice...So Kris...can't you hire a new instructor specialised in classical guitar? smile.gif
What do you guys think?!
Thank you...

I can understand what You mean. I'll see what we can do but the problem itself is also caused by the lack of pure classical guitar instructors. Sometimes people who are very talented haven't got the gear and skills to make audio-video edit for descent lesson purpose and maybe Kris and Bogdan have someone on their eyes to bring here with the classical lessons. I did study classical at music school. Maybe I could help You a bit. Can You post some example of Your classical skills?

Thats a great idea!!! Your a trained classical player right Darius? You could maybe step in to take over new classical lessons? I've had a bit of classical but honestly not enough. I"d like to see more classical lessons myself on GMC smile.gif

Will see next month. For now I have already started new lesson but I'll seriously consider doing some classical too. First I would like to know what level of classical is needed at the moment :)That's why I asked about our friend skills smile.gif

Even though I've ended my classical guitar education years ago, I still use fingerpicking a lot. Lately I made some simple mic demo with my classical:

Awesome!! Gerardo is back and with an Argentinian Folk piece of music. I'm so happy!! I was also missing nylon strings guitar lessons.
