GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Anyone Have Experience With Installing A Tremel-no?

I installed one in my Ibanez and it doesn't seem to be working like it should. I followed the instructions and it went in very easily. But, when I tighten the two thumb screws to lock the trem...it still moves a bit, and the screws can even slide a little on the shaft they are supposed to be clamping tight. The screws are tightened as much as I dare crank on them. Anymore and I am afraid that I will strip the threads out. Any advice?

I'm afraid I haven't ever fitted one of these.
I just been to their Site and seen a Pic of one and know the main two Thumb Screws that you're referring to and would (as an Engineer) always advise never over-tightening anything!!
Is there any way you can insert something (Foil, or perhaps a strip of Aluminum from a Drinks Can maybe??) into the sleeve so that the Thumbscrews clamp a bit tighter?
