For Swedes, that name is a tad unfortunate.

Without the 'h' (which is kind of silent anyway), it means "shake", commonly interpreted as "shaking" something specific. ph34r.gif

It sounds like shaking indeed... what is it with people and making actual music nowadays? laugh.gif

Next step? Playing a 20 string guitar for which you need special speakers that transmit the vibration and you get to feel all warm and fuzzy inside laugh.gif without actually hearing anything !

Well, I finally accept djent as a real genre, and now there's another? The only difference I see is that the turnings keep getting lower and the string amount keeps incresing biggrin.gif

As I said in another djent related post - I am curious to know if from one point someone will make tuning UP, become popular biggrin.gif

A new genre even lower!!! ohmy.gif I wonder when we will have that genre that is as low than we can really hear it... a frequency around 15 hz maybe? what would be the name for that one? I propose: SILENJENT biggrin.gif

Hehehehehe biggrin.gif Have a go at it wink.gif

All kidding aside, the "BROWN SOUND" often refers simply to the thick/distorted/effecty sound made popular by Eddie Van Halen.

here is a link where they break down all the needed gear to make a "brown sound" rig and it's pretty basic. High gain amp, solid body guitar, essentially build an early vanhalen rig and rip the tone knob off the guitar smile.gif
