What Is Pitch Shift Option?

Some FXs have the pitch shifting function, like the Pandora. So you can set it down an half step and your guitar sound will be processed, sounding like your guitar were tuned in that way. Remember that it's a real time processing so you can notice a small delay between while you hit the strings and when you hear the sound from the output. The Digitech Wammy, the newer versions have a drop tune function that would take it to 1 step below. It also has the ability to jump up or down 2 octaves. I am not sure if manipulating the expression pedal will let you find a median in between tone shifts. I think the boss pitch shifter, or the pandora (as mentioned) may be a better option. The wammy is fun but is really a toy to me. The harmonizer sounds better with clean tones and the tracking could be more refined and I think the main reason people buy it is for the expressional pitch shifting.
