Hi guys,

My friend has created a short song which he made using Guitar Pro 5, he's exported it as a MIDI file and asked me to convert it into an mp3 for him. Unfortunately I am unable to do this as I do not have any recording/editing software which would be suitable.

It would be extremely helpful if somone with Cubase or Protools software could import the MIDI file, add a VST instrument to each track and export it as an mp3.

If someone would do this for me I would be delighted and it would save me a lot of trouble, but please don't spend too much time on it. If it is too difficult/time consuming just forget it.

Thanks. biggrin.gif

1) Download Audacity here:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

2) Install it.

3) Launch it.

4) Go to Edit->Preferences and make your recording device match your playback device.

5) Start recording.

6) Play your MIDI file in Windows Media Player or whatever you like.

7) When it's finished, stop recording.

8) Export it as a WAV.

9) Download WinLAME here:

http://winlame.sourceforge.net/

10) Install WinLAME, launch it, and convert your WAV to an MP3.

Done.
