I was practicing the Mark knopfler lesson and i ran into things like Lpbr, br, pb in the tab.
can someone please explain to me what they are? |

Sure
Tied note is just the way to extend time duration of specific note. Lets say you play last 8th note of the bar and you want it to sounds for another 4th in second bar. Than you just add same note as 4th in second bar and tied it to 8th in previous bar that you actually played. This way you have note that lasts one 4th plus one 8th note. Prebend is the way when you play/hit note on the string AFTER you bended it to some point.
Regular bend means that you play the note and then bend the string. Any more issues regarding to tab signs? -------------------- Youtube

Oh I think I get it... so for example you would bend a note up a semi tone then hit it then continue bending it up a tone?

oh right so I would just bend the note to wherever I wanted it and then strike it then just release it or whatever else is required from the piece
