Embedding Pics Into Your Signature

Can someone help me figure out how to embed a .bmp into my signature?
When I click on the insert image button and browse to my local disk for the image, I can select it, but then I get an error message saying that it can't add "dynamic links".

How do you guys (anyone whos' done this) add stuff to your sigiature?

Add it in your signature in the [img][/img] tags, but convert it to .jpg, .gif, or .png for it to work.
