Pedal Steel Guitar

I know i can be the most distracted person in the world, but for years ive wanted a pedal steel, from the early 90s when i had an alternative country band.
Its always been a little out of reach based on them being hard to find and stupidly expensive.
Now there's a decent one wothin 1.5hrs drive from me that i could afford (there are probably more responsible uses for my money but...)

The question is do i have the discipline to learn the complex instrument and will i have the outlet for playing it?

Seeing as there is no live music etc at the moment, is anyone putting themselves out there on Twitch or Reddit Session?

I've seen some really good people and some...well...brave people putting themselves out there.

I've been thinking maybe I should pull out my old busking material and doing it for something to do, maybe even learn some songs I've always been meaning to and never got around to it.

He's a great guitarist and his last album is a favourite Instrumental guitar album of mine, I'm not much of a FFDP fan though
