I go and make a fishing thread in the winter

Well it's been ice fishing season here in Labrador for a nice while now and I just thought I'd share some photos of my most recent trip. Lots of fun and it was such a great day. Caught about 10 trout. Was a bit nervous about where we decided to fish as there was some open water just off to our right, but the ice was about 3 feet thick where we were. Good thing we had the gas auger

Child labour can be a good thing when holes need to be made Besides there was hot chocolate to be drank.




Some of the boys decided to skip water with their sleds....don't ask... while I was busy catching the huge fish




After a long day of fishing there is nothing better then the boil up.

Yeah it was a blast getting out on the bay that's for sure. We found some fresh powder on the way out and well lets just say I did many donuts and was stuck once or twice This is only me second year with my 600 H.O. but she's awesome...very very fast. Where we were fishing is about 40 mins from my house. In the summer the only way to get there is by boat.

Mmmm lovely pictures rok.
There is nothing better than being in the sun in the early spring out on the ice, with hot chocolate and cheese sandwiches (and a few kids for drilling holes)
Reminds me of home. Mmmm...
Oh wait! I AM home. With 2 feet of snow and the sun is shining

Yeah we have lots of sun too. Which reminds me.....don't go out on the ice without sun screen. I'm still suffering.

Plus the trout is pretty good eating too. But I tend to stick with the sandwiches..... Mmmmmmm Sandwiches.....

Thanks guys. Yeah it was a really fun day and I highly recommend snowmobiling. It's so much fun

Snow is gone now but won't be long before it's back. But hey if you can make it here this weekend we are going fishing/camping for 3 days... just bring a canoe

Oh... I would love to camp/fish for 3 days, actually me and Daniel will do that soon. Waiting for the temperature to rise some more... too cold still! Hope you catch something big! More pictures! Always fun!
