I posted a while back about only having a stills camera for my videos. Obviously it has video capability but there is no rotating screen so for a long time I used a mirror at the back. This was a bit of a ball ache. The other night I had a brain wave, such a simple idea but so effective. I got a piece of thin aluminium, drilled a hole in one end and put my very cheap and cheerful webcam at the end behind the camera. Now when I want to record, I can open up a webcam video in movie maker on my PC monitor and see what the rear facing screen is displaying. wink.gif

Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

That works smile.gif Not having a flip out screen or "confidence monitor" can be a pain. I've got a camcorder that I use and it has a flip out screen but it's very small. I use quicktime to do a live preview of the video over firewire. The good thing bout your setup is you can get a preview and still use your high quality cam!! Good solve smile.gif
