Ooow I had the same problem something like a year ago. At first, i had the same desktop like you, but a couple of days after, my computer didn't want to start mellow.gif So all i had to do is to reinstall Windows..
Hope that you won't have to do that.

Try the programs before and keep us posted wink.gif

Search avg antivirus on google. Instal and run the free evaluation version valid for 28 days (it is slightly out of date but has always worked for me) after use un-install it and next time problems occour you do it again and get 28 days free again. Hope this helps Steve

Possibly the virus changed the desktop picture, which stays even after the virus itself has been removed.

Close all windows
Rightclick on your desktop and select Properties->Desktop and change into another image.

That's BS, who/what detected the spyware? Seems like a prank to me...

Just install AVG non-commercial edition and change your wallpaper tongue.gif

And for future precautions of things like this happening again you may want to uninstall limewire wink.gif

Yeah spybot search and destroy works great..But in some cases formatting drive and installing OS again only helps... ;(

+1 looks to me like you've picked up some malware from somewhere on the internet.

Try installing and running the diagnostic program 'hijack this'. That will give you a full log report on processes etc running on your computer from which it's possible to then work out what the malware/spyware/trojans/viruses etc are that are on the pc. You can then focus on getting rid of them.

After you're clean as others have said use avg free (now at v8) and spybot to keep the pc clean smile.gif .
Cheers,
Tony
