Ok, here we are at last - I have pretty much used first come first served to match up potential mentorees to mentors, sorry if you weren't picked this time around, but remember, this is a 1 month trial period for the mentors and not the start of the program in full swing yet - we plan to find mentors for everyone so don't panic!

In a couple of cases Chris and I have had PMs expressing preferences for mentors and mentorees - we have done our best to accomodate these, again on a first come first served basis, giving priority to the wishes of the student as there were a couple of conflicts here smile.gif

Here is the list - if anyone is unhappy with the picks let me know and we'll see what we can do!

1. AJMurrel - Bondy
2. UncleSkillet - Skennington
3. FatB0t - SonOfDestiny
4. Enforcer - jer
5. Coffeeman - Big Harry
6. Wrk - Organized Confusion
7. lcsdds - Jesse
8. Tolek - Valentino
9. Vaialation - Joruus
10. Velvet Roger - Preatorian

We'll get the Sylabus up as soon as we can manage it, and remember, Mentors, that this is a test phase so we want to see what you are doing out in the open, so please don't do any of the mentoring via PM!

Any questions at all, just post here and we'll try and help out!

So we have to make forum topics specific for our mentorees?

It would be easier if we had our own board or something.

Like a sub forum of the MTP forum

BTW: Im excited about this!

We'll get back to you on this!

Current thinking is we will let you all start individual threads here, but we might want to use the Agendas like we did for the previous mentoring as it worked out well - we are just finalising this with Kris as we speak!

Andrew,
Are you going to give us a little guidance about how you want us to proceed? I know you gave us some guidelines but should we wait to do anything until we get the syllabus? Looking forward to working doing this. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Ok, we have decided that for the introductory phase (the next month) we will use this board as a centralized area to get the MTP going - this enables us to keep it all in one place and to all help each other a little more easily.

We will review this later and decide if the Agendas will work better in the longer term when we see how this all works out!

In the meantime, Mentors please each start a thread on this board and call it something like :

Andrew MTP Thread

(The most important part is that you put your name at the beginning!)

Mentorees, when your mantor has created his topic, jump in, say hi, and then its up to you guys!

We will be posting a suggested sylabus very soon - the idea behind this is to ensure that all the basics are covered. If a mentoree does well with the basics, of course, then it is time to move onto some more advanced stuff, which we will leave more up to the mentors and their mentorees to decide on, but the basics come first, and we will be looking at how the mentors do in assesing their mentorees grasp of the basics, and pitching their advice at an appropriate level for the mentoree.

Mentors, remember that this is still part of the competition and we will be watching how you proceed to make a final judgement on who goes forward to be mentored by Muris cool.gif Be sure to re-read the guidelines as to what we want and expect from you as this will form part of the criteria for judging.

Above all, have a great time and pass your knowledge on!
