As you may or may not know about Guitar!App, it was a series of learning tools for Windows. If I continued making other software like this, would anyone pay for it? Like $15-$20 for a lifetime license with free updates. There are a lot of plugins I have for it that are very expensive (Such as SkinCrafter and Themida) and if i'm going to put more time into it, I was thinking of moving to C++ and using AutoIt's ActiveX dll because C++ is much faster than AutoIt.

Basically if I'm going to continue on this project, there will be a fee because of time, money, and effort. It will be real fancy and stuff. So my question is would you buy it? (The tools will include the fretboard quiz, chord group quiz, sight reading quiz, and more to come, I just need some ideas)

Before I answer your question it would be cool to see Guitar!App first because right now I don't have idea about your project.
Sounds very interesting I can kinda guess where you are going with this but I will wait to see your previous work.

Thanks

The free version of the Fretboard and Chord Group quiz can be found here:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...=guitar!app
However, there are many flaws in it, and I don't think the Chord Group one is working (However, the source code is updated hehe tongue.gif)

I went to the website and download sections but the links don't work.
Any idea where I can check it out ?

Ignite I just saw it
Couple of questions- do you plan to do this full time? If so there is potential in this and I can see you charging 15-20$ with all the software available (like a bundle deal). However for one software (like freetquiz for example) its unreal to charge 15-20$ for it smile.gif
After all you can type in google anything you need it will come out , just type word free before it smile.gif
But, as I said, if you make 5 or more programs of this kind it will be very nice package deal and worth marketing and selling.

$15-$20 per program?! That's just craziness. I plan on working on this on my free time, but I tend to get things done fast and efficient. Plus with a few good features here and there, I can make an automatic bug report and feature request "feature". So all should work out by the end of the day!

The new version will be insanely cool. There is going to be a menu that drops down from the top. (Cheers to the programmer Valuater for letting me use his idea) There will be buttons with icons on them to let you choose from different apps to launch, or to access the settings panel.

I have decided to make it free.
However, there will be an ad you must click (Sorry guys ><) in order to start the application. It's a google ad, the reason being is every time the ad is clicked, I get 10 cents (yay). If you want, you can "donate" $15 and get a license to the program which will have these ads removed, and maybe some extra features, I have not decided yet.

I'm not supposed to do this (Put ads on my program), but i'm broke, in need of money, and I have seen other applications which do the same. It's a win win for everyone, you know?

Heres a screenshot of the new Guitar!Toolbar (Yes, I made that name up on the spot)
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8825/guitarappcg0.jpg
I quickly threw it together using free icons I found online =\.

FretAdv = Fret Advance (Renamed Fret Snap becuase it sounded.... well you know..)
keyQuiz = Key Quiz
Chords = Chord Build Quiz (New! Learn what notes chords are built off of)
Settings = Settings tongue.gif
Exit = Blow up White House

More features will come. I'm thinking of making a Guitar!Server (Yeah, I made that one up on the spot too) that will check for updates, and hold licenses and stuff.

I have a busy schedule, I'll be working hard on the weekends, but probably not this weekend since I'm celebrating my Mom's, cousins, and my birthday tongue.gif.
